The photo titled "Wintersun" is taken from the heading of Newspaper clip in the "Bulletin" and quotes as follows:- Saturday marks what many rockers consider the highlight of the Annual Wintersun Festival, which got under way last weekend in Tweed Heads and Coolangatta with record crowds flocking to paid and free events. The 10 day festival of jukeboxes, grease-slick hairstyles, Elvis impersonators and everything else celebrating music's glory day began with a traditional ball last Friday night and wraps up with two concerts - one by day and one by night - on Monday. This weekend, the streets of Tweed Heads and Coolangatta will be full of hot rods and Chevys, with a Hot Rod, Custom and Classic Car Show from 10.00am, followed by the main street parade from 10.30am. If that isn't enough free fun, four stages in and around the streets of Coolangatta will host live entertainment from 10.00am - 7.30pm on Saturday.
Acts to appear include The Atlantics, Atomic Hi-Tones, Catfish and the DeeJays, Creepers, Cruisin Fairlane's, Issi Dye, Fuelers, Hillbilly Pete and the Wildcats, Hi-Tones, Itchy Fingers Legends, The Memphis Moovers, Mixed Emotions, Red Hot Poker Dots and Rockin' Daddys.
More than 53,000 people poured into the Southern Gold Coast and Tweed for last years event, which boasted a record turnover of almost $20 million.
